The Dynamic Account Plan

Account plans are written for the QBR. This one is written for the deal.

Most account plans are a document. Built once, presented once, filed. By the time anyone opens it the account has moved and the plan hasn’t. It describes a company that no longer exists, which is why almost nobody carries one into a deal.

The TSE Account Plan is alive.

What makes it alive

  • Real time.

It updates when the account moves — a new stakeholder, a competitor's play, an earnings surprise, a Play you just ran. You are never reading last quarter.

  • All inclusive.

Every piece of work you have done on the account, integrated in one place: the research, the value model, the competitive read, every Play you have run, every artifact you have produced. Not links to twelve documents. One window.

  • It facilitates strategy.

The plan is where the account’s picture and your position in it meet, so the question stops being "what do we know" and becomes "what do we do."

  • It coaches.

APEX works from the plan, so the guidance you get is grounded in this account's actual state rather than general advice about selling.

  • It adapts.

Circumstances change inside a pursuit more often than any planning cycle accounts for. The plan changes with them.

It sits on top of the ten Plays, assembled from work you already did. You do not build it. It builds itself as you work.
